QubeCentral is implemented as a powerful API with a default web UI that is best customized to a particular client's requirement and uses an MS SQL database for data storage. The main components of QubeCentral are the content database, the screen database, movie and advertising scheduling, content unicast downloading and multicast downloading in conjunction with QubeCast, content key generation, screen play-log reporting and software updates of Qube units in the field.

QubeCentral's movie database holds technical and descriptive details of each feature film and has rich search capability.

QubeCentral users are both cinema network staff and theatre managers. The system has user account maintenance capabilities that provide a user to screen mapping.

The content keys are generated based on the time-window for a feature film on a per-screen basis. The keys are automatically scheduled to be downloaded into the field units by QubeCentral.

QubeCentral has download scheduling capability and can handle content and key download with high resiliency. The resumption of partial downloads is fully supported as are low bandwidth and high latency connections. In conjunction with QubeCast, the system also supports multicast downloads.

Qube field units can be programmed to update the QubeCentral database at frequent intervals over any IP network. QubeCentral provides consolidated and detailed reports based on content and screen.

QubeCentral also offers easy customization options for business logic to be incorporated into the workflow to deal with for example, permissions related to a screen wanting a particular film to be played.
