California USA, November 25, 2019: Qube Wire, a leading provider of electronic delivery solutions for digital cinema is excited to announce that Studiocanal has released Knives Out, a Rian Johnson film and Bombshell, a Jay Roach film, via Qube Wire. Both films have been delivered seamlessly to 48 theatres across Australia and New Zealand.

Greg Denning, Head of Sales, Acquisitions and Development Manager at Studiocanal Australia said “as digital delivery of content evolves across Australia and New Zealand we have observed with great interest and have been trialing the providers in this space. We were very excited to test Qube’s delivery network and we set them a significant challenge in delivering two feature films at once across 48 theatres in two countries. The trial was a great success made all the more pleasant through Qube’s outstanding communication, enthusiasm and service."

Qube Wire’s web interface allows distributors to seamlessly book content to theaters in 135 countries around the world. Once booked, distributors can watch the progress of these deliveries in real-time.

In Australia, Qube has made a significant investment in building an electronic delivery network and installing WireTAPs at theaters. Qube’s WireTAP is a cloud-connected, in-theatre appliance that allows automated delivery of DCPs and KDMs directly over the internet. This appliance has been installed at 56 movie theaters in Australia and New Zealand, and another 30 installs are scheduled for December of this year. Qube has delivered over 300 movies to these theaters using the electronic delivery network. Installed theater list is available upon request.

Mark Waterston Senior Vice President, Qube Wire speaking on the collaboration said, "I'm so glad to see Studiocanal use our system and see what so many of our other customers around the world already know -- Qube Wire is efficient, easy to use, and a great value."

Theaters are enjoying the ease of electronic delivery as well. Qube Wire’s Exhibitor portal allows exhibitors to track the delivery of DCPs in real-time, optimize the delivery of KDMs, and manage their theatres’ server information to facilitate replacement KDMs.

Speaking on the twin releases in this region, Lewis Thorne says, “We’re excited to have successfully completed the seamless delivery of the content across Australia and New Zealand. The Qube Wire portal has impressed and excited many Exhibitors and Distributors. It creates a simple and efficient workflow for content delivery. Simply book it, track it and deliver.”

Qube Wire continues to see major growth. Now, more than a thousand movies have been distributed with our service. On average, 1,356 deliveries are done each week, and 463 of these are done electronically via the WireTAP. The appliance is currently installed at over 250 theatres around the globe.
